Professional Therapy From the Comfort of Your Home
You want to feel calmer, more connected, and more in control of your life. But getting to a counselling office isn’t always possible.
Maybe you’re balancing a busy schedule, living in a rural area, or managing health or mobility issues. Perhaps privacy is important, or you simply prefer to speak from the comfort of your own space.
That’s why I offer secure online counselling across the United Kingdom — so you can get the support you need, wherever you are.
Why Choose Online Counselling?
Convenience
No commuting or rushing across town — simply log in from home, or anywhere private.
Accessibility
Ideal for clients with mobility limits, busy parents, or those living far from a counsellor.
Privacy
Confidential sessions from a secure location of your choice, giving you peace of mind.
Proven
As effective as in-person therapy — many clients even find it easier to open up.
How It Works
- 1Book a session
Call, email, or use my booking calendar. - 2Join securely
I’ll send you a link to a confidential, HIPAA-compliant platform (Doxy.me). No accounts or passwords required. - 3Prefer not to use video?
Telephone counselling is also available. Many clients find it just as helpful — sometimes even easier if you feel more comfortable talking without a screen. - 4Talk openly
Choose a private space where you can speak freely. I’ll meet you online at the agreed time.
My Approach
Hi,
I'm Matt
I’m Matthew McGinty (MNCS, Accredited), a qualified counsellor and mindfulness teacher. I’ve worked with clients online for several years and found it just as valuable as in-person sessions.
I take your privacy seriously. All sessions use a secure, encrypted video platform. You can join from your phone, tablet, or computer.
My style is informal and supportive — no rigid paperwork, just a safe space where you can talk and we can work on practical tools that help you feel better.

Areas I Specialise In
Online counselling works particularly well for:
Matt is very professional, knowledgeable and a great listener. Matt allows you to explore how you feel in your own time without any pressure or judgement. Therapy was the best decision I made.
ABI THOMPSON, ONLINE CLIENT
Matt has been a fantastic support to me and continues to be so. Listens non-judgementally and helps arrive at solutions, very knowledge on lots of areas. Would highly recommend to anyone.
LEE ARMAND, ONLIne Client
Important Note
Online counselling is a safe and supportive space for many people, but it isn’t the right option if you are in immediate crisis or feeling at risk of harm.
If you’re experiencing suicidal thoughts or feel unable to keep yourself safe, please reach out straight away:
- Call the Samaritans free on 116 123 (available 24/7), or
- Go to your nearest A&E department for urgent support.
You don’t have to go through this alone — help is available right now.
